My Love For Design Started Early
"The details are not the details. They make the Design" -Charles Eames
At the young age of ten, I was bitten by the design bug. In 6th grade, I was tasked with designing and building my dream house. My inspiration was the ” Falling Waters” house by Frank Lloyd Wright. The rest they say is history. I continued my passion for Interior Design and completed a Bachelor of Science in Art and Interior Design from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1992. During my internship in the semester before my graduation, I worked for a commercial furniture company, discovering early on that I loved this aspect of the industry. Now with over 30 years of experience in the interior and furniture industry, I am still passionate about design and furniture for interior spaces.
Some of the interior spaces I work with include, corporate, church, educational, and healthcare interiors. During my career I have been lead designer, project manager, sales manager, buyer, design educator and mentor and account executive. You can learn more about the specifics of my career by viewing my Linkedin profile. I enjoy helping my customers find that unique solution that is not only affordable but functional and aesthetically pleasing as well. I strive to exceed your expectations.
I also have the privilege to work as an education mentor for a premier online platform Qpractice, helping designers and architects achieve their goal of NCIDQ Certification .Inspiring the next generation of leaders and mentoring and exhorting others is core to who I am and present in all I do.
On a personal note, I am married to an incredible man, and had the privilege of raising three amazing young adults. In my free time you can find me experimenting with culinary arts, exercising, enjoying the outdoors and cheering on the Nashville Predators.
